GA-X58A-UD7 -- Error at bootup: "Sorry we do not support this system!"

I've just purchased the above motherboard using a "Intel Boxed Core i7 960 Processor" with 24Gb of RAM, and 8Tb of disk space, of which 4x1.5Tb is in a Raid0 config, running on Windows7 64Bit. Graphics Card is a "Gigabyte nVidia Geforce Graphics Card GT240 - 1GB 128Bit GDDR3"

On every startup, I get the below nag window: "Sorry we do not support this system"

I've seen other users also reporting this error on Google, but none of them got a reply from their posts. Any idea what might be causing this , and hom I can disable it.

What BIOS are you on?

That would be the first thing I would look into, update the BIOS using Qflash and be sure you Disable "Keep DMI Data" in Qflash before you flash.

Then once the flash is done reboot to the BIOS and load optimized defaults and then save/apply/reboot F10 back to the BIOS again, and then make any other changes you need to.

Then try booting again and see if the message is gone.  I've never seen or heard of it, when does the message appear exactly?

The error show just after I login to the Windows 7 user prompt. I suspect it's on of the software utilities that came with the motherboard which is complaining about windows7 64-Bit

I found the executable that's causing the popup to show. It is "XHDTray.exe" in the GIGABYTE\XHD_II" folder. 5 Seconds after I double click it, the above mentioned popup window appears.

Is this something I can uninstall ? Does the motherboard require this to operate under Windows7 64Bit ?

XHD is part of Gigabyte's free software that comes with the motherboard. Personally I don't use any of it as I find it more of a nuisence than anything. Unless you are using it or using the XHD in the BIOS then you can get shot of it.

That would be why I never see it, you should never use any driver CD you get with a product as the drivers are always old.

And with the case of a motherboard, you should only download and install the drivers and utilities you plan to use or know the function of.   Don't use Express installs or anything like that, because those always install all drivers and programs on the cd (most of the time whether your board needs them or not).

Download the latest drivers here, that is all you need.  Uninstall XHD program from the control panel /programs and features, you can also uninstall the GSATA/J.Micron drivers as well.

Latest Utilities, again only download what you know you want to use, like maybe Easytune would be all I'd suggest.
