Wow something strange happened.
I decided to remove any unnecessary cables including my second monitor, and then the Windows login screen appeared on my main display!
So, I logged into the PC and checked my BIOS version. It says that I am running F9. :bounce:
So the installation must have went ok.
I was unsure, but I had a feeling that it wasn't anything to do with the BIOS. Because I could go into the BIOS, boot and boot into Windows SAFE MODE ok.
Surely if it have been the BIOS then the machine wouldn't have even passed the POST stage.
I've now updated the display drivers, and re-configured the dual monitor setup.
Everything appears to be ok, and all I need to do now is go back into the BIOS and adjust my RAM speed.
Lesson learned, and I will not be rushing to update my BIOS in a flash again lol.
GIBABYTE really need to warn people about updating to F9 through Windows!!!!!
The warnings are present about the update on their website, but not through the @BIOS utility. :fou:
Thanks
