You could fit it either way. That's the beauty of water cooling it's so versatile. If you mounted it externally the fan mounting holes wouldn't really matter as you could space the whole assembly off the top. If you check out my web page you can see a 480 on the top of the green case. Bit of a botch but sometime I will get around to rebuilding it properly. That case is even taller than yours!

Cool, I will use the top as exhaust though. I was more thinking about the 4th fan will blow air on the case roof and cant get out that way, if that would cause any problems. If not then it would be better to get 4*120 radiator instead of 2 separate radiators? I will use the backside fan and the standard intake fan on the bottom like intakes.

There is nothing stopping you modifying the top of your case by drilling another series of holes to match the other three outlets. That's all I did with the Supermicro server case. There were no holes at all on the top of that but a bit of modding and alls well now.

There is one main thing to remember when cooling, water or air and that is you can't go below ambient room temperature unless you get more radical! It doesn't matter how many or big radiators you put on you will be limited by this factor.

OOH yeah give me karma   But what is this oil cooling i have seen on youtube? Read this and see if i understood everything correct: the 4*120 would handle it all? But the 3*120 can at least handle CPU,1*GPU and south/ north bridge?  The computer with green is oil cooled?

waste of time cooling the southbridge really, it doesnt DO enough, cool north /pwms only. 4X120MM FANS would handle it yes but you would need the fans on full to do it. There is no substitute for a DUAL loop even a 120.3 on one loop and a 120.1 on another apart from cost factor is much better option than a single 120.4

No the green computer is just water cooled. I can't really see the point in oil cooling. It's like those electric/oil filled radiators that you can buy for your house, they take longer to heat up but once hot they take longer to cool down. So they are more stable heatwise. That is a good thing for heating your house but doesn't give any benefit when it comes to computers.

I would totally agree with gilgamesh, there is nothing like seperate cooling loops but it obviously costs more as you require two of practically everything.

Thanks sensei gilgamesh & Dark Mantis, well i really don't want to make holes on this case, so i will probably skip the south bridge too and do the 3*120 setup with 1 separate 1*120 for the bridge only. Dark Mantis i need two of everything? then you mean 2 pumps and 2 reservoirs? is there anything more i need two of except the tubing and fittings of course?  

P.S. Do i need the back plate for the CPU block as well?

The short answer is yes. You will need to make up two completely seperate loops. So you will need to pumps,reservoirs, blocks and radiators. You will need a backplate for the CPU waterblock retaining device to secure to, usually this will come with the block.
