Ooo, the  Gigabyte's site for Bulgaria is nothing but garbage heap. All information about drivers, BIOS etc. for GA-X58 UD3R is wrong. Even now the site doesn't work . And one more thing - I'm shure that it'l be very expencive enterprise to me to RMA the board. Se la vie...

Well you know what they say about Bulgarians...give them long enough and they will break anything! ;)

Where is the Gigabyte Centre in BG ? Is it not in Sofia ?

Well I would have thought it would either have been Sofia or Plovdiv. I can't really see it being anywhere else. I will try and find out for you. I will post back when I have news. ;)

Thanks, but the problem appears rarely and I think that's pointles to try RMA. I'll live with this, don't worry. I appreciate your help.

Hi

I received a very prompt answer to my question. Gigabyte doesn't actuallly have a centre in Bulgaria itself so I would have to advise you to return the motherboard to your retailer for RMA. Failing that you would have to take it up with GGTS. You can contact them here:

Just enter your email address and click on the language of choice.
GGTS   http://ggts.gigabyte.com/

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hello everyone, I have been experiencing the exact same problem. Unless I missed where someone mentioned this, it is more than just the network adapter. When this problem randomly occurs the USB 2.0 ports are also disabled during boot. I know this because I cannot access the BIOS with my USB keyboard when it happens. The weird part is the USB ports are enabled when Windows starts, the network adapter is not. My solution is the same, cut the power and it is fixed, just rebooting will not fix it. This has been happening to me about once every 10 boots or so, but there is no pattern or cause that I can observe.

This is a very big problem for someone wanting to rely on a machine remotely. I am able to wake on lan and the computer starts, but when the problem occurs it starts with the network adapter turned off and thus I cannot use it remotely.

Thanks for any suggestions or ideas...

Hi

You might find that your USB keyboard isn't working until Windows loads the drivers for it is normal unless you enable Legacy USB Devices in the BIOS. This allows you to use the keyboard in the DOS environment when you need to get into the BIOS or anything like that. You will probably need a PS2 keyboard to be able to enable it.

Sorry I should have clarified, the USB keyboard works fine with the BIOS and during boot in all other instances and after I do the "unplug reset". My keyboard has back-lights and they usually turn on with the computer when the USB's get power. But when this problem occurs they don't turn on until the windows login screen.
