Yes to be honest I think it is just a mix up. The motherboards are the same boards (PCBs) that were issued as the original motherboards therefore they will still say Rev1.0 Until Gigabyte runs out of these PCBs and has new ones fabricated they will then show as Rev1.1

Also, at another forum, I have been advised to use the Crucial RealSSD C300 rather than the OCZ Agility 2 OCZSSD2.  Do you concur with this advice?

Soar I along with others mentioned in an older thread about using the intel drivers and believe me you won't regret it. I was getting disappointing speeds of 110 MB/s with my c300 SSD before installing the Intel drivers. It jumped to 330 MB/s (all read speeds) after installing the Intel ones.

faizoff, I totally believe you guys!  But where can I find these Intel drivers?  Is it automatically included at Gigabyte's website under the downloads for GA-P67A-UD3-B3?  Is it on their included CD disc?

Please let me know exactly where I can find the correct driver to use.

Also, may I ask which number firmware you are using on your c300?  Are you using firmware 002 or 006?  There seem to be mixed reports on which firmware to use.  Have you any suggestions?

on the Crucial forums of a person with similar circumstances as me with regards to the C300 rating. They changed the drivers that were the default installation by Win 7 from msahci to intel RST ones.

The link is in the last post of that thread to the Intel drivers. It's made a big differnce as far as I can tell, things seem to be a lot smoother and boot time is now under 25 secs. The Windows rating is 7.8 and I couldnt be happier.

Oh and I've overclocked the CPU to 4.4 Ghz at the moment and this thing is blazing fast even with the stock cooler.

Are you saying I should uninstall the Microsoft chip and install the Intel chiip?  If yes, anyone know a step-by-step instruction sheet on how to do this?

All that is being suggested is that you use the AHCI drivers from the IRST pack as they seem to be more efficient than the Microsoft drivers. Don't worry about revision numbers.

At what time during the build process should I install the IRST pack?  It sounds as if I must do it after installing Windows 7...is this true?

Ok, I put the core basics together, hit the power button, and waaaalaaa...got my first post.  As people here suggested, I immediately loaded optimized defaults and then saved.

Since I will use the Crucial RealSSD C300, I think I am suppose to switch something to AHCI.  When I looked at the Integrated Periperals in BIOS, my guess would be I need to change the PCH SATA Control Mode from IDE to AHCI...

Can someone here help me know if this is the correct settings before I begin to install the OS?

Also, are there any other areas of the BIOS I should change before loading OS/drivers...

Please check my BIOS screen and let me know if you see something wrong.

And by the way, I forgot which do I load first, the OS or the drivers?

I am considering rotating the Hyper 212+ 90 degrees so it can blow the hot air out the top of my case [so I would like to point the exhaust upward, toward the 200mm exhaust fan on my Storm Sniper case].

I positioned the Hyper212+ accordingly, but I noticed the heatpipes are very, very close to some capacitors on one side, and the RAM on the other side...

Do you think the distance is too close to mount the Hyper 212+ this way?

May I have some opinions here?  Do those heat pipes get real hot and could they affect the RAM or those capacitors?

When I orient the Hyper 212+ the normal way [blowin' toward the back of the computer case], then the heat pipes are no where near the RAM or capacitors.
