constant reboot..please help

hello all. please help. i yhave a gigabyte 990f xa udg board. it was working finr for a bout two weeks, then it poped up and said it needed to reboot after soem updates. all i get is a contant reboot loop. it tells me i have a bios checksum error, then reboots. i left it unplugged for a month. the computer booted into windows and it is now doign the same thing. i have replaced the bios battery, i have taken all the ram aout, and added one chip at a time, no go. i have bought new ram, no go. i read somewhere about shortign the board to use the other bios, but i have no idea what this means please help. i am very frustrated. i have bought 2 of these boards form newegg, and neither of the two work. thanks in advance

Take all your hardware out of the case and rebuild the  installation on a cardboard surface  or wooden table.Clear CMOS on the motherboard  for defaults in BIOS.

Please do tell us what Power supply are you using ,as it can be a bad PSU in your case as well.

Hi there,

clear CMOS is a simple task of either shorting the CMOS pins (check your user's manual for their location) or by removing the CMOS battery from the motherboard and leaving it out for about 5 minutes.

If you have two of these boards and neither are working there could be an issue with the hardware you are using. It would really help if you could list all your parts and the correct model of motherboard as there is no 990f xa udg that I can find.

The problem you are having if it is a CMOS checksum error means that somehow the BIOS has become corrupt or flashed with the wrong version.

In either case you need to re-flash with a correct BIOS for your version of motherboard. 

You need to make sure of first the model of motherboard,  second the version of that model.
