Just bought a
Hotway Probox 3.5" USB3.0 HDD Enclosure. It's connected to the USB3.0 port of Gigabyte X58A-UD3R (Rev. 1.0). The system detects the HDD enclosure and installs the driver successfully. However, the harddisk in the enclosure is not seen at My Computer. The OS of my system is Windows XP Pro 32-bit. The harddisk in the enclosure is Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB (WD10EADS-65M2B0).
Troubleshooting done so far:
[1] Test both USB3.0 ports on the UD3R and the problem is not solved.
[2] I can hear that the HDD in the USB3.0 HDD enclosure spins when the power is on.
[3] The Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB has no problem because it can be seen in the My Computer when it's installed in another USB2.0 HDD enclosure.
[4] The USB3.0 controller in the BIOS is enabled.
[5] The cable is USB3.0 cable and the length is about 1m.
Kindly advise if there is anything setting that I miss out to enable a USB3.0 device to work properly with the UD3R.
Thanks.
